Jill Gentry

Administrative Assistant

Jill, a native of East Tennessee, studied at the University of Tennessee and the Harvest Institute for Biblical Studies where she earned a Bachelor of Biblical Studies. One of her course requirements was a ten day field-study in Israel which exposed her to all the wonders of that beautiful land.  Falling in love with God’s Holy Land, Jill has traveled numerous times to Israel as well as the countries of Paul’s missionary journeys; Greece, Turkey, and Italy.

Having served under the leadership of Dr. Crisp for ten years on staff at Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, Jill transitioned into the role of his administrative assistant when he resigned as Senior Pastor in 2009 in order to give his full attention to the work God has called him to. Her love of Israel, desire to help others study the word of God, and organizational skills are three important traits she believes God has instilled in her to help her successfully serve in ministry. Those who have ministered alongside her say she is “the glue” that keeps it all together.

Jill has been married for 34 years to her sweetheart, Charles. They reside in Knoxville, Tennessee.  Other than the Lord, the great loves of their life are their two grown sons Jeffery and Daniel, and their two beautiful daughter-in-laws Ashlee and Emily.
